Another question.. He has not crowed at all and shows no sign of even liking ladies . he is 9 months old. My rooster that we are eating for dinner tonight because he was very aggressive. Was mounting the girls at 3 months old. He crowed at about 6 weeks
Is this normal. Or do you think that is why she sold him.

How old are your girls? If they aren't mature, he probably won't show interest in them until they are older.

It's possible that he is younger than the seller told you he was.

Well she had two and said they are the same age born in January and so I guess he is 8 months

My other rooster was doing it about every 20 minuets

It really did not for me.I got some Wheaten and some Black tailed reds also some blue tailed reds.

Here is a question My Blue Birchen Rooster has produced from my Blue Wheaten hen three White babies and two blue babies with stripes(dark grey) over their eyes back to the ears and a stripe down the back of the body? What color will these babies turn out to be? What genetics are in play? Both Parents are Birchen and French Marins from my own breedings for the past 5-6 years.
