These are stunning birds. I have 3 Golden Coocoo Marans, three different shades of the golden. It makes it easy to identify them. Mild Temperament. Have they started laying yet?They are now 18 weeks old and so different.
Thank you. Not laying yet. As you said, mine are very calm. They hardly have any comb or wattles at this age so I might be waiting a while. I have a Black Marans that I got last year. She was the first to lay at 17 weeks but she goes broody way too much. Post a photo of yours. They sound interesting.These are stunning birds. No, Marans do not have black combs and wattles. She's very interesting, and I'm sorry I don't know what she is but I do know she's not a Marans.At 8 weeks old Tilly has a black comb and wattles. Is the normal for the breed?
