they dont have one, yet I bet if they had the choice they would chose to wear one as they are SUPER indeed... its a cross of a blue egger with a super productive white egger... and thus the SUPER BLUE EGGER, aka SBE was created example, CL x White Leghorn or Blue egger for the University x california grey/white

I am very excited! The first batch of UofA and UofA X Crele Penedesenca eggs were dropped off today. The eggs are very nice. They pullets are still young and the eggs are already in the large range. Most of them are over 60G with the biggest one weight 67G. Lareg eggs are 57G so these are getting into the Extra large range already.

The egg farmer is impressed with how well they lay. The 5 of them are laying 3 to 4 eggs a day. The are out laying the Penedesencas and the UofA eggs are Bigger!

-If I take a U of A blue Ro over a California Gray hen I will get sex-links. (year 1)
-If next year I use those f1 hens under another U of A Ro how many will keep both the barring and blue egg gene?

If you have a solid roo x barred hens you do get sex links. ALL the roos from that cross will be barred. ALL the pullets will be solid.

So your F1 pullets will NOT be BARRED so you can't use them to make more sex link chicks......

NON BARRED PULLETS is what you get from a sex link cross.

I dont think any Hatcheries have catch up to this, BUT I see a good business on them, just like Black Sexlinks, Super Blue eggers should be Hit..... there is a business for Large Blue eggs in prolific amounts...
