Blue Egg Layers from University of Arkansas

Since I raise birds for hackle/saddle, I have known Whiting Farms as amazing produces of hackle but never knew they did layers. Where on their site does it have chicks? Do they just have the few breeds you posted or do they sell others?

He won't have ANY of his fly lines AT ALL. These commercial lines are an offshoot business that he does mostly local. He doesn't have breeds per se, he has developed and produces several egg type lines and some meat type.

I already know they never release their genetic hackle stock but the others I was surprised about. My hackle bird projects never leave our farm unless it is in pelt form. The whiting blues do sound like the blue blue egg layers but they've mixed something in to get the chipmunk types

No, the whiting blues ARE the blue feathered blue eggs layers. He is the originator of them. He also has a wild type pattern in the blue egg layers and those are the chipmunk type. He spun off a green egg type as well.

I sent him an email asking for ordering information.

The dirt in the pen is dusty red clay. Before they went into the pen, the splash cockerel had blinding white feathers. The blue bird is his sister. Last picture is him doing tiny mock fights with his hatchmate, a bantam buttercup cockerel ;)
