Blue Egg Layers!

Where is the best place to get Ameracaunas that lay blue eggs because all of mine only lay green eggs. I would like that cool color difference in the egg so I can have green and blue eggs.

You should look into some Araucana.

Don't some of the EE lay a blue tinted egg? Or is it more of a turquoise?

My research says that Americaunas have tail feathers and lay a blue/green egg - more toward the green color.

Araucanas are rumpless (no feathers on their tush) and lay a blue egg.

I got my blue eggs from ebay. She lives in Pa. I can't remember her name but maybe if you look on ebay you could find her. She shows a picture of blue eggs on her listing. Hope this helps.

Aren't Americauna's suppose to have blue eggs only by standard? If so, there is how you can guarantee blue eggs, buy them from breeder.
