Blue egg

They are both the same breed just different colors, same meat. It sounds like you would enjoy pharaohs as they are easy to sex visually before they crow or lay. Jumbo browns are great dual purpose coturnix as you get nice eggs and more meat per bird.

Thanks for the advice. Maybe I'll get some eggs before it gets to cold and hatch off a small group for spring and change over. Mine are laying and crowing but never when I get to the cage. It's been a little crazy with them it seems they are getting more and more aggressive as they get older. Choosing the roos is difficult they all seem to be getting agressive and a bit crazy. I had to separate them it was getting so bad. I got 50 out of 50 on my first hatch but they trampled two, I think heat got one and one flew up and killed himself. Anyways it ended up being 20 females and 26 males. All the males are a bit aggressive. I have one group of 4 set up. The male is very nice to his hens but he isn't fond of me opening the cage for any reason. He tries to attack me every single time. It's kinda funny and he is the only one I have kept with females. The other males I have tried cause too much chaos and leave a trail of destruction....lol. OK that was an exaggeration but I'm afraid to cull until I'm sure I have 3 nice males. This is going to be a slow process. Thanks for all the help.
