Blue Eggs!

Hi,

I have 5 RIR and 3 Jersey Giants which I acquired last spring. My JGs just turned 6 months in December. This week I have been finding a blue egg every day (3 so far!) along with 3 brown. I have been trying to research and don't see anywhere that JG lay blue eggs? Who could be the culprit? They are so beautiful!! Hoping I may have a special one! (I know it looks white here, but definitely has a bluish/turquoise hue in person!)

Do you have any pictures of all your layers (RIRs, JGs)? Perhaps one is a mix and you didn't know it? This would be cool if one is laying the wrong egg.

Well, one of your chickens has some leg bar or Ameraucana in them somewhere. Can we see pictures of your hens?

It's one of your black ones, the one on the left in the last picture. She has a modified pea comb. They are all pretty chickens!

Most likely......surely not a JG.

Yes, maybe an australorp mixed with Ameraucana, she also has a fluffier head compared to the others.
