Don't let it get to you that much. They're not trying to personally attack you as much as they are trying to stand up for your bird. Everyone has an opinion and there's some we just don't like as much as others. Do what you can for the bird just keep it in the back of your mind to do whats best for the bird. Whether its you personally caring for it, rehoming, going to a vet, etc. Sounds like your really good with pigeons...think of how hard they would have it without you. Good luck! I'm sure somehow things will all work out. They usually do.
