Trying to figure out how to breed this color of bird... looks like breeding a black gold duckwing roo to a blue hen, then breed the offspring blue hen back to a black gold duckwing = blue patterned gold duckwing or blue patterned cream/lemon possibilities... am i using the calculator correctly?

next question - where do i find large fowl black gold duckwing?

well another question ive been looking for is how do you calculate "blue wheaten" in the calculator. As in blue wheaten ameraucanas. anyone know? not familiar with all the color nomenclature

Why don't you just buy a blue or black swedish?

Which Calculator are you using? You should just be able to select Wheaten and then change the genetic codes on the next page to make it a blue wheaten if its like the one I've used.

Also, what breed are you working with, you could probably do it the way you described or if you could cross say a Siver Duckwing rooster with Blue Red hens you should get some Blue Golden Duckwings that way.

i didnt know what breeds to use. But perhapbs ameraucanas. Since blue's and Blue Wheatens are readily available... ive also heard of a black/gold ameraucana... so we'll see... ill try adding the blue to the calculator... didnt know if thatd work, since blue/wheaten is an actual standard color and not just a gene thrown in due to crossbreeding, you know?

I see. I changed the wheaten to blue wheaten. Crossed with a blue hen. Then crossed first gen offspring blue hen back to blue wheaten. now i see that blue gold wheaten at 12.5% probability and also black gold at 6%. Now, another stupid question. Whats the deal with Duckwing? is that an actual gene to shape the actual wing? or just coloring? i know next to nothing about this stuff.

Edited to say -
Sorry to ask you guys things i could readily look up - found a great post about duckwing/coloring. "Duckwing is a color pattern. BBRed, Blue Red, Silver Duckwing, Golden Duckwing and Wheaton are a few." ~MoodyChicken

good to know that wheaten is just another color pattern of duckwing.
