Blue Goo???

Good Morning and I apologize is this post is unappetizing but....Do anybody else's chickens get blue diarrhea when you feed them blueberries??? It is one of my girls' favorite treats and I am sure it is loaded with antioxidants but I have avoided feeding it to them all winter because it gives them yucky blue butts LOL. Should I just give them to them anyway? Today I might as a mother's day treat!

Sparingly it should be fine (I'd worry more about diarrhea than the blue color). I don't have blueberries to spare but when it's blackberry season, there's a lot of coal black pooping going on.

LOL thanks for that! I wish mine liked blackberries! For some reason they turn up their beaks! Shaking my head...

Blue/turquoise poop can also be the result of ingesting rat/mice poison.

Oh wow - good to know. For this particular situation I know it is blueberries because it is over the entire time I have had them - only when I feed them blueberries. I actually stopped feeding it to them for this reason but yesterday was Mother's Day and I couldn't help myself LOL
