Blue/Green Egg Laying Silkie

I'm planning on creating a blue/green egg laying Silkie. Has anyone tried this? If so, how did it go? I realize its going to take several generations and a few years but I want a Silkie that meets the APA standard in appearance and lays a blue/green egg.
