blue island hens ????

I just talked to a man in our are that has blue island hens for sale. he has never had chickens before someone gave him the birds. the man he got them from used to work for the state agriculture department. have you ever heard of these birds. I am going to look at them Saturday, I'll get pics

I have a healthy pair of Blue Island Hens, They are about twelve weeks old and have been pets. These are nice chickens and would make good layers. These chicken imitate a peacock by fluffing and frilling. Their colors are very unique also .
he said he has refused to sell them to two people because he thought they were going to eat them.
