I have been following this thread and have a question. What will you get when you cross a Splash hen with your GL Rooster?

When breeding the blue laced birds, the blue will be inhertited in the same way andalusian blue is normally inherited.

Breeding a BLR splash to a GL will give you Blue Laced Golds with genetics like this:

eb/eb
s+/s+
Ap/Ap
Di/di+
Mh/Mh
Co/Co
Pg/Pg
Ml/Ml
Bl/bl+

Breeding a blue splash to a GL will give you blues but their genetic make-up will be the following and I'd imagine they'd be a strange shade, but not sure:

E/eb
s+/s+
Ap/ap+
Di/di+
Mh/mh+
Co/co+
Pg/pg+
Ml/ml+
Bl/bl+

I hope I've got that all right. I'm just studying poultry genetics so it is possible I made some mistakes, maybe someone with more knowledge of genetics can correct me or back me up.

Just wonderring how is your project coming alone, Orp is my very favor bird of all times, if you have any hatching eggs please let me know.

I just checked the web site and it doesn't appear that it changed. You might check with them directly by emailing. If I remember right, there was a problem with the importing of the birds or eggs from England.
