Hi just wondering has anyone crossed a Blue laced Barnevelder roo with cream legbar hen?
Am I right in thinking you would get dark green speckled eggs?
Would they be sex linked? and does anyone have any pictures of them

Thanks

Hi just wondering has anyone crossed a Blue laced Barnevelder roo with cream legbar hen?
I have not tried it, but can make an educated guess at the results.

Yes, you should get dark green eggs. I don't know how speckles are inherited, so I'm not sure if you will get them or not.
Would they be sex linked?
Yes. With a barred mother (Cream Legbar) and a not-barred father (Barnevelder), you will get barred sons and not-barred daughters.

So the sons will have white barring, probably with a yellow dot on their head when they hatch, and the daughters will not.
and does anyone have any pictures of them
No, but they should all have crests (like Legbars do).
Half the chicks should inherit the blue gene, and half will not.
