I am so excited! My friend was at a big poultry show over the weekend and asked if I needed anything. I mentioned I would be interested in some nice BLRW's. So she calls me and Foley was there with some birds! There weren't any blues but I got 2 black pullets that are very nice and a splash cockerel. He is pretty picked right now so looks a little rough but I think he will be pretty nice. She just dropped them off today! Yipee!! I snapped a couple pics but laptop will not let me put them on here so will try later from our other computer!

yeah his blues were snatched up p[retty fast... i saw the splash guy and contemplated him and another black girl that was in his cage, but just took the 1 black girl that was in with him. 8)

he's got awesome dark red for a splash. but if you got the girl that was with him, she's got white/pink legs, so cull hard for yellow feet on the chicks. white is dominant over yellow. i almost took her as she had a bit better type, but changed my mind last minute.

I got an little tiny miss shaped egg from my First Pair of BLRW from Foley

She is a splash and he is that really dark roo. I have 2 LINES to work with now

I am not sure if it was the girl that was with him. My friend said there were 4 black pullets left and she picked the nicest two. Both look to have nice yellow legs. It is pretty dreary out so I tucked them in quickly and went back inside so didn't have as much of a chance to inspect as I would have liked (I have a 9 month old and didn't want him out in the cold drizzly weather). Tomorrow I will get a closer look. It was funny because she was there for ameraucana's and called on the way to see if there was anything I might want/need. She then left me a voicemail saying there were some Foley birds there and I thought it was a breeder with Foley lines. I was very pleased to find out they were directly from Foley

Sort of new to the BLRWs - hatched 5 on feb 18 (Foley and a generation away from direct Sterling Sue)-2 roos and 3 hens .... and have 11 more in the brooder right now ... the pics are of the original 5 taken a few months ago: ( The images are kinda large when clicked)
