Blue Laced Red Wyandotte THREAD!

I took a few pictures of the 4 weeks old chicks..

He has nice color and round as can be..I am looking forward to him maturing a bit.

A pile of chicks including BLRW Some nice dark color and quite a few culls.

darn roosters

I'm becoming more and more pleased with my BLR roo, Oscar. He's only 18 weeks old and he just keeps getting better and better. (He is in the process or re-growing his tail feathers!) Love him...

Still on the hunt for some nice dark pullets.......

for 18 weeks old that young cockerel is pretty nice looking..hows his comb? His legs color is great.
WoW! Thanks delisha, that really means a lot coming from you! He is still just a babe, but I really like him. A sweetheart too. Here is the best pics I could find of his comb, let me know what you think :)

I think I will join in! Hi everyone! I just hatched out my first set of chicks. I set 40, 12 of which were dotties. I got 30 to hatch including 8 (I think, maybe 9?) dotties! I started with four each of silver, gold, and BLRW. I kinda got overwhelmed with the 40 eggs and lost track of exactly who didnt make. I KNOW I had one infertile blue and one with a blood ring. I also know a silver died mid zip and I had a gold quitter too. After that, I sorta got lost, lol!

Here are the chicks I'm saying are dotties! My problem is I also set a lot of EEs and some of them are very loudly marked meaning I have had some trouble keeping everyone apart! They will be two weeks old tomorrow. A significant size difference is developing between the EEs and everyone else to that is helping tell them apart. I'm hoping feathering will help too!

Here is the group from the brooder!

Is that a BLRW in front?

Here is a close up of one of the blue candidates.

This one is really dark and I'm not sure what to make of that!

Not sure if you can see it, but its face is a pretty mahogany.

This is a GLW right? It's pattern is almost identical to some of my EEs and doesn't seem lacy at all. Is that normal?

Two (or three) more are out with my broody BCM. I'm not sure on the number because I have one (my fav chick naturally) that may be a dottie or a funny colored EE, lol! Here's the group-

From the right, its a SLW in back, a GLW in front, a black sex link (pullet?), the maybe chick, then a blonde EE.

Here is the best side shot I could get of the maybe chick

I caught him up today, much to his mamas dismay, and he appears to have a rose(-ish) comb? His coloring and pattern plus the comb could be BLRW I think but he is sooo puffy faced! I dunno???

So excited to see these chicks grow out! Trouble's coming though! I only have space for 4 more hens at most and no roosters! Lots of CL listing in my future!
