thanks for the welcome! That is a really good sized boy! I miss having BLRW so much, my avatar is my one and only set of little beauties i had over a year ago. I went in on a big order with someone from my state thread who ordered them from a hatchery out in Iowa i think. Out of 5 girls, I ended up with 2 or 3 splash, and 1 dark. Also at that time i was trying my hand at incubating and had ordered some hatching eggs off ebay that were supposed to be "Foley" Lineage. I knew it was a gamble from the get go to even try to incubate them, several of them did have intact air cells when they got to me, but none of them ever hatched. You live and you learn though.....

That is horrible your eggs didnt hatch, but we do live and learn. I have bought eggs from ebay and have had good results so its a gamble. Hopefully you will be able to get more blrw's soon someday. There are lots of places online that sell chicks. They are very lovely birds.

I live in Oklahoma City, OK and have several BLRWs for sale. They are 4 and 5 months old. Several cockerels at $15 each including blues, blacks, and splashes. A few pullets at $35 each including blues and splashes (I think I'm keeping the blacks). Pairs for $45 each and trios (while the hens last) for $75. I have never shipped a bird so local pickup is needed unless you can coach me through the shipping process. LOL I bought these birds from a breeder in Oklahoma and do not claim them to be show quality but IMO they have nice coloring that is getting better as they mature. No great pics yet but let me know what you're interested in and I'll take some. Meanwhile, here are some random pics of my birds taken a month or so ago.

I will eventually but they're too young yet. My oldest are only 5 months old, so it'll be awhile before they're laying. Also, I'll test hatch a few batches myself to see what the successful incubation rate is before I offer eggs for sale. I've kept back two groups: a black roo with 2 splash hens and the beautiful blue hen pictured in my earlier post. The second group has a splash roo with a stunning dark blue hen, two black hens, and a splash hen. I'm excited about them!
