Blue Laced Red Wyandotte THREAD!

Pics
Does anyone here have a flock of just BLUE laced reds? or blue/black laced reds? I'd really like to buy some hatching eggs but am only interested in keeping Black Laced Reds. Seems like they're the hardest to find!

I have a male and female black BLRW for sale right now. About 4 months old.

We have a black laced cockerel and 2 pullets that could be put together to get you some eggs or we have 2 black laced pullets 2 mos old. These were purchased from Foleys this year.

I have 25, 6 week old chicks, I am afraid I have mostly males

, a lot have wattles developing, some have just started and some started at 3 weeks old! The early ones that started at 3 weeks are good size, so I am sure they are males. What about the ones who are 6 weeks and are starting to get them? I started banding their legs when I noticed so I can keep track of their progress. I am going to go and take some pictures and post here to show. Another thing....their combs are not large but most all are pink. I read on a post that a lady had her's all pink up at 3 weeks and she thought they were all going to be males and it didn't happen, she has girls with pink combs early to.

Is this the "cape" that I have seen referenced to for cockerels a few times? Mine are around 15 weeks old and I'm still trying to figure out what I have!

All 3 together. I know the pics are horrible, it was dusk as they were coming in from their first free range adventure - they didn't want me near them and my camera only has a stock lens so the zoom is pretty pitiful. The one pictured above is on the left. I've never personally had any cockerels/roosters, or any birds with anything other than a single comb so until one or all 3 crow I'm stumped! The other two definitely have more lacing on their backs, but I don't know if that means definite pullet or just more likely? We do have a rooster across the street that can be heard at all hours of the day so I figured I would have heard something by now from at least one of them, but so far not yet.

Can you stand some pics of my BLRW I got from Jerry Foley yesterday???? (I also got a trio of Silver Penciled Wyandotte bantams and a SLW chick and a Chocolate Orpington... they hatched in the egg bucket in the barn with all the heat and he didn't want to brood them LOL)

This is the neck of the oldest hen I got. SHE IS SOOOO PRETTY!

He said she laid an egg a day at 3 years old. She and the roo I got, gave him is first REAL good start at BLRW.

I don't know if you can tell from these pictures but HE IS HUGE! Thick from one end to the other!

I got the impression when I put the beetles and worms in the pen that they had never had bugs fall out of the sky before LOL

This girl has some very nice lacing too.

A group shot. They are all so nice and very different too. They are molting too

This is a bigger view of the older hen that is so pretty.

Another hen

I know the roo was shown and won. And I think he said the older hen was a show winner too. I don't show and don't really plan to so I didn't really catch all that.

So I now have 4 laying hens and a FABULOUS Roo too

He breeds for good layers, but I have not had them through the winter so just not sure. I have a breeding pair of SLW from him too and some young pullets growing that came from his stock and Paul's stock.
