Just as a side note for those choosing new chicks and you actually see them before choosing.
They should be chestnut brown on the head. Black will have some black in there too. Splash will still have a chestnut brown head and a lighter body fuzz. Choose chicks with fatter rounded heads and shorter beaks. The body's should be little round balls.

Silver laced

this is a fat body..it is not correct for a Wyandotte. It is too long, This is an English Orpington chick.

These are BLRW and silkie chicks. You can see the splash, and they have brown red on the heads, and in the stripes. They are round butterballs and look fatter than long.
