Meyer Hatchery sells sexed BLRs, and their order minimum is 3.

Well mine are bantams not LF...I love bantams! And yes I've read they mature slower. My hens started to lay these past few weeks! So just after 6 months old. They are such sweet girls....my boys are a bit stand offish, not aggressive, but at about 5 months they loved trying to breed any hen that moved! They have settled down since then.
Where did you get yours? I'm looking to get some in the spring, I'm having trouble finding some as nice as yours!

I bought eggs from uncle bee's birds...he has a website but also sells them on eBay. I have an incubator, so it worked our well. He is sold out for the year....he also sells chicks and ships in spring I think.

Hello all :) I have been quietly lurking this thread for a while.. I have 12 BLR Wyandotte eggs in the incubator, due to hatch in 7 days!!! I am loving all your pics and experiences raising these beautiful birds.

I got my eggs from luvinbluechickens here on BYC, anyone else raising her chicks? Just curious! :)

Hey all,

A while back I posted about my hatchery BLRW chicks. Well they are still PQ but looking much better each day.

I rehomed 2 that I feel sure are boys and have 3 girls and one that is iffy. The comb and waddles are nothing compared to the 2 boys, but bigger and redder than the girls.

They are 13 weeks now.

Posting pics and asking for critique. I am not interested in breeding. I just want opinions on them. I will only keep 1 or 2 of them anyway and have not been able to decide, but I do lean toward 1 in particular. They are all so different. You won't hurt my feelings.

My back yard is just not big enough for all I want

Hello all, I was wondering if you could give me a little help. I am wanting to start breeding BLRWs. I love the breed! Would you say my birds are good starters?
