Blue Laced Red Wyandotte THREAD!

I have 2 BLRW coming from Meyer hatchery today (along with a couple EE's and a welsummer).
I know they will just be pet quality, but I live in town with no roosters and just want pretty girls to lay eggs. I am excited!

I'm new to chickens but have become obsessed with Wyandottes since getting my first chicks, so what I say is far from perfect but is from my limited understanding of a bit of research I did after falling in love with them.

His colors and lacing are quite beautiful but his tail seems a bit low.
Also he is not quite as round as I think the standard is supposed to be.

Like I said though I'm new to this so I could be completely wrong.

Nobody?

I want to know what his SOP faults are if you see any?
to better judge the bird it would be best to have him standing straight and level, not moving/grazing/running/crowing...

pictures from each side, front, rear and above would be needed to give a fair assessment, though handling the bird gives a better judgement (but not possible via the internet).

Thank you!I am new to BLRW SOP breeding, too. I did not notice his tail angle before, this will be something I keep an eye on from now on

I agree I wish he was more rounded in the chest area. I am hoping he will fill out more as he grows up, right now he is kind of "heart" shaped, but I have never raised a rooster before so I'm not sure if that can be overcome(?) or if it will always keep this shape

oh, sorry, I tried to get the most natural photos I could.. I have brought him in for a photoshoot before, he doesn't do well, strikes unnatural poses / looks afraid..

I was hoping this was a good side angle photo of him:

would lower camera level be better?

I took photos of his left, right, and rear but not above..
