Blue-Laced Red Wyandotte x Ameraucana

She looks pretty much like an Ameraucana to me. If you look at her feet, they are not green and she has muffs and a beard, plus the comb looks pretty much like a pea comb. But then again, she could not be.

In any case, I got some eggs from a friend that I hatched, and one of them, I was told was an Ameraucana x BLR Wyandotte, she came from a very light blue egg. She lays very light green eggs. Her color is ginger, but I have no idea what the Ameraucana hen's color was. If the eggs she lays are the color in the picture, you will probably get light green eggs.

I'll try and get some pictures when I'm home in a few days. She's tough to photograph because she is very flighty. Regardless, she lays me big bright blue eggs and I'm clearly not starting a purebred breeding operation so her lines don't matter too much to me. I began to incubate some of her eggs yesterday, they have been fertilized by my Blue-Laced Red Wyandotte rooster from Murray McMurray.
Her offspring with the BLRW will be black/blue with partial gold lacing or black/blue with gold leakage. 50% will have black, 50% will have blue. They should lay green eggs. However, if your hen isn’t a pure ameraucana and is mixed, there’s a possibility for the offspring to have some other colorings as well.

I'll be sure to provide updates when they hatch.

Looks more like a lighter BLR to me.
the background feather color, rather than darker blue, is splash. still blue laced red; they come in black, blue and splash. The splash will dilute the black of your hen (assuming she's purebred) to blue. I used the identical cross this year with my own splash rooster that is nearly a twin to yours.

That’s not my rooster. But I’ve seen splash laced reds, they’re more of an off-white color than light gray.
