I have not heard anyone mention this breed. I have 3 roosters and 2 hens (I believe). They are 12 weeks old and still filling out and getting more pretty by the day! Are these good layers? Any opinions?

Quite a few people have those here on BYC. I see the pics they post when they hatch them! So so pretty! I hear they are pretty Docile and decent Egg layers, but could not say from experience. Yours are very nice looking! Where did you get them from?

I've got them and mine are very friendly birds. The hens have a tendency to go broody. Mine lay fairly well although their eggs aren't as big as I'd like. The roos are mild mannered.

I have some and trying to get a few more to replace the ones the coon got. Mine should start laying soon.
That reminds we I need to move the nest box in tomorrow.

I got my 4 pullets and 2 cockerels from the Spring hatch that the teacher was going to butcher to eat and I went on a mission to save the chicks...one had a very sour crop that I culled last Saturday because I didn't know what was wrong or if it would continue to have problems. I couldn't butcher the two roos (extras in my bunch of breeds) and will hold on to them or at least one as long as I can.

I ordered the bantam version early this summer and only one arrived that was not cold stiff so I brought it back to life but she has not developed any lacing nor looks as a BLRW does...

Here's a few links about mine:

And I'll have to take/post pics of the 3 pullets later, its dark thirty in the evening now...
