Blue Mottled vs. Black Mottled Pics

Which do you prefer - Blue Mottled or Black Mottled d'Uccles?

Black Mottled d'Uccle

Black Mottled d'Uccle (simply called "Mottled") are APA recognized as of 1996. The Blue Mottled have not been recognized... yet. I, and a few others, are hoping to work on that.

I like the black mottled ones. The white tipped feathers seems to contrast more to the black, rather than blue.

Those Blue Mottled d'Uccles are gorgeous! I love them.

I'm actually trying to find some good quality versions of both but I would say a slight edge to the black.

I know absolutely nothing about them and your pics are the first I have seen and I liked the blue...it is different not so sharp of a contrast as the black beautiful birds I might add.

Looks like close to a 50/50 split. I have both varieties, so I may just keep both then.

I would have to say black, there is a much better contrast between the colors. Blue mottled just kind of looks washed out to me.

Black. The color on chickens they call blue just looks like black that's been left out in the sun too long.
