Blue or splash? 1 day old.

OK, well we only hatched 3 successfully, but here they are. I think I definitely got a black.
I really wanted a splash, though. I hope the other 2 are!

I also use the term "standard" since that is how they are referred to in hatchery catalogs and more importantly for those who think you should say Large Fowl, the Standards of Perfection -and I just double checked that to make sure I was right before typing this.

As for the chicks on the OP...they must be Splash and your dark one does look to be black. That is not all back because if you mate the Splash with the Black you will get all blue

Don't fee bad about getting only 3, I just did a hatch with 45 eggs and only got 12. I bought the eggs from different places and most of the ones that hatcherd were from the same breeder. Goes to show how much better some will hold up compared to others.
They are cuties that you have, I hope they turn out as good as adults as they look as chicks.
