What do you cross to get Blue Orphingtons?

You need blue or splash birds to get blue. Blue is a dominant gene. If even one set is present, the bird will be blue (well, where the black feathers would be would be blue, anyway) and if there's two sets you get splash.

Black x Black = 100% black
Black x Blue = 50% black 50%blue
Blue x Blue = 25% black 50%blue 25%splash
Blue x Splash = 50% blue 50% splash
Splash x Splash = 100% splash
Black x Splash = 100% blue

Blue Orpingtons are pure breeds. There are a number of BYC members that have them so you shouldn't need to cross anything. The works been done of them.
