jeremy, that splash rooster is gorgeous!

I only have one orpington pullet, but she just so happens to be blue. And I think we may have found a color that my husband and I both really like a lot. We also picked up a blue Ameraucana rooster at the same show as the pullet and we are hoping for some pretty blue and splash EE babies next year.

Suede still lives! He's 5 yrs old now, has only one blue hen at this point--the other three have passed on, sadly. Guess he's a tough old bird, my Suedenator.

Still growing in his tail from the molt, but here's my buddy, and Dusty, who tried to self-dub so now, the back of her comb lays over on her head like a beret. That really upset me because her comb used to be so nice:

Lovely Joy, just lovely!

I love that picture of Winston and Clementine, if any two chickens were ever in love it's those two.

ETA: Thelma definitely took after her father in the rear end department, they both should have wide load signs on their bottoms!

Thanks Jeremy. I appreciate the compliments. Thelma definitely has her Dad's behind !! LOL. Somebody here told me that from the behind, Winston looked like a long-haired yak

Winston and Clementine definitely love each other.

They are inseparable - always !! They are never far from each other. But, funnily enough, Clementine is NOT his favorite when it comes to doing the deed. When I want fertile eggs from her, I have to separate the two of them because if there is another hen around, he won't breed Clementine. They will be 3 years old this June - I hope to get some more chicks from them this Spring.

They are just the best chickens ever. As huge as Winston is, he is just a big baby. I guess he remembers when he was sick and I kept him in the house for 3 weeks. I rocked in the rocking chair and sang to that rooster for hours !! I love them - I can't imagine life without the 2 of them.

This is my favorite picture of Winston and Clementine
