Blue Orpington

alright. Seriously.  I how do I go about getting a couple of blues for my flock?  I can't find anybody that is selling these.  I'm not looking for this year, I have to expire a few tenancies in the coop first--but I want to add a couple next year.  Any good distributors?

You could try Sandhill Preservation Center in Iowa. They sell Blue Orpington chicks at a better price then a lot of other hatcherys.

I can finally join this thread! We just got 3 blue orpingtons about 2 weeks ago from Renies peeps! I love them so much! I really hope they are all girls! We also have 2 black orps and 1 splash!

I got my blue from Papa's Poultry, he's in Northern California, and he does ship. :) Sadly I think we have a boy, but time will tell. It's only sad because I can't keep a rooster. :(

I sent a PM to you. I'm a couple hours to the South and farther inland. That's a fantastic drive up 31 to where you're at though :) I'd be willing to make it.

A couple of my blue and black.

Yep! He sure is a nice full bodied bird. I would say his legs are a little short and his shanks could be a little thicker. Maybe he is lacking a little height also. All in all, he looks very good!

Yeah he is fairly short compare to my other roosters but a lot bigger in size he is an awesome rooster though he is very friendly the only thing he has a habit of is with the geese but i guess they will get use to him :)
