No.. that bird is black, not blue... which sometimes does come from blue matings.. since blue only breeds true 50% of the time. It's also not a Rock... however what has been sold in the recent past as "blue Plymouth Rock" is as follows...Came from Rural King, is Blue Plymouth Rock correct? With those big dark eyes... I would agree with other that SHE may indeed be black Australorp!
Nothing indicating cockerel at this time. Most are throwing clues by six weeks.. barring late bloomers, I am also saying pullet. Lovely mix of characters ya got there!![]()
Green sheen is very common in black birds including females. It's very beautiful too. Some standards of perfection allow for it while others do not.Maybe im imaging it but I think I saw a little bit of a green sheen to some of the feathers when I was looking at them today?!
