We have 2 Blue Runner ducks about 3 months old. Both have bluish green bills, and I havent heard a real quack yet, just the mumbling raspy stuff. My son wants to sell them so do you all think its safe to say theyre both drakes?

Yeah your safe...by three months you should hear loud quacks if you have a girl.

Agree, and they sould be or already have there drake feather. The drake feather is a curled feather right at the end of there tail and only males get it.

thanks for your input!

My drakes drake feather came in at 12 weeks old.

All my animals seem to be like me -- slow to mature.

I think it depends on the breed - I didn't see a drake feather on my Mallards until they were 3-4 months.

My male is a swedish or swedish mix of some sort. It could be a breed thing.
