Firstly:

I didn't say that, I said it sounded like it.

Self Black Birds can be produced in any and ALL "e" alleles, Extended Blacks being the easiest followed by E^R.. what makes them Black? Melanizers. what keeps a E^R based bird with melanizers like Pg Ml from being Black but Spangled? Db, DarkBrown... what is the difference between Spangled Hamburgs and silver laced Hamburgs? another powerful columbian like restrictor. Columbian(Co)

I was just clarifying there was nothing else in the line. It was a sumatra, it had no blue laced pattern gene as far as I can tell, though again, the Co that affects black laced silver operates differently that black laced blue. If it was a blue hamburg, now, I could see where you were coming from.

Secondly, and to the point:
I think there's a bit much blue there for that to qualify as blue partridge. I second leaky gold.
Also, it could maybe be a "blue brassy back..." if you wanted to name it.

lack of/loss of Melanizers, I also believe that an undocumented inhibitors, inhibiting feather melanin expression, this is more evident on blues, but in rare cases even Blacks can show loss of melanizers.
