Blue/Splash Orpington

We've had this hen for a while and she has been laying for about a month. What kind of blue orpington is she? Will she breed like a regular blue orpington (as far as color passed on to chicks)?

when we bought her we were told she was lavender, but now that i'm breeding her i know that she has some blue blood based on nthe chicks we're geting

What rooster are you putting her under and what are the chicks looking like?

i first had her under a chocolate and we were getting black,blue,khaki,chocolate. now i got her under a splash, those eggs wont go in till saturday. the splash chick in the last 2 pics r not from her..

Perhaps, I expected to see sex linked chicks from her. black males and choc females and thats what the first batch was (maybe 6 eggs 4 choc females 2- roos). then this batch hatched and we have all these colors. part of the reason i am asking about her is my wife says that we got blue females from her too... the generator says that black and blue will be the males...

sooo i'm confused about her. i'm gonna grow a bunch out just to see what they look like.

is this a "platnum blue" or any blue that is recognized, or just a freak color?
