We've had this hen for a while and she has been laying for about a month. What kind of blue orpington is she? Will she breed like a regular blue orpington (as far as color passed on to chicks)?[IMG]

It's possible she is lavender and splash.

Perhaps, I expected to see sex linked chicks from her. black males and choc females and thats what the first batch was (maybe 6 eggs 4 choc females 2- roos). then this batch hatched and we have all these colors. part of the reason i am asking about her is my wife says that we got blue females from her too... the generator says that black and blue will be the males...

sooo i'm confused about her. i'm gonna grow a bunch out just to see what they look like.

is this a "platnum blue" or any blue that is recognized, or just a freak color?
