Blue Swedish duckling - deformed beak?

In a pinch a cool whip container or any wide mouthed disposable plastic food container will work.
I was trying to look for those things but we took the trash out Monday and don’t have any laying around. I had planned on cutting a small hole in the lid of one those containers, so they stop trying to swim in their water. They don’t have the oils on their down

@cluckingheck how is your little duckling doing today?
She is such a sweetie ❤️

Taffy is still doing pretty well. It looks like she’s eating and drinking just fine. I don’t know if it’s me, but I thought it looked like she can shut her mouth more

I’m going to make this into a progression post for Taffy as she grows. Her deformity isn’t as severe like it could’ve been, but at least this thread will give people dealing with the same some idea of what they’ll be dealing with. I think Taffy’s situation is the most ideal bad case scenario; if she had to have something wrong with her, at least it isn’t that bad.

Everyone finally got moved to their new brooder. Though, I did run out of wood chips and will have to run in tomorrow to get some. I still think they love the new digs ( I taped all the edges so they couldn’t pull any pieces off. the video was taken before i realized i had missed some places ).

The other ducks in with Taffy have no physical deformities, but they did come from the same place. There’s a black runner duck named Pongo, a khaki campbell named Shiloh, a white pekin named Pond Pidgon ( or Pipi, as my brother likes to say ), and a buff named Sassafras in with Taffy, a blue swedish.
