I bought a duckling today and the seller said it might be either a cayuga or black/blue swedish. Can anyone post pics of their baby blue/black swedish ducks? Maybe some pics of adults too.

OH MY! I love Swedes. I raised them for years until I decided I wanted to have more chickens.... they are absolutely amazing, hard to show, but awesome. I use to hatch off a ton of those suckers! They lay like crazy and their fertility was in the 90%'s all the time! They would go broody and be halfway decent moms they were just spot on! I hope your little duckies are swedes.....

good luck....

how do you tell if its a female or male. I have a male brown duck and his tail feathers are curly. and now I have a baby blue Swedish that was born around 4th of july. and I feel its a male. really wanted a female. but this one is very attached to me it goes to work with me. I made a duck diaper. belive it or not it wears it and I change it like you would a infant. sqeaker is its name, loves a shower. it just sats there and hogs the shower. it cracks me up. and if I am out of its sight it goes crazy. it sats under my arm all the time and gives me kisses. my male, his name is jake. I tought him to sat. they are smart lil ducks. and you can train them and teach them just have to take the time with them. yes I am a animal lover, all animals. but if you could help me out on this I would appreciate it very much.
