Blue Swedish mix? Yellow duckling with blue beak.

I think that a pekin parent is unlikely. The recessive white allele that depigments pekins also affects their bills. I would expect to see an orange bill on a duckling that is light-colored because of pekin ancestry.

Ducks that are half-pekin usually are colored like black swedish or like mallards/rouens.

Updated picture of my little duck. It seems to be getting some blueish grey feathers on its lower back now. Very curious to see what it looks like when all it’s feathers have came in

Silver Swedish drakes are light gray even though the hens are white. If you google “Silver Swedish drake”, you will see what I mean.

Yet another updated picture I now think this little fella is mixed with silver appleyard and blue Swedish. It’s getting some brown coloration on its wings and tail. I can’t wait until this one fully feathered.

It does look like a Welsh Harlequin. I don’t think Silver Appleyard x Blue Swedish could have a baby with that coloration.

It’s a mix breed. The lady had blue and black Swedish, silver appleyard, pekin, buff and khaki Campbell ducks. This was the result of those running together.

I’ve been trying to figure out what it was mixed with since I hatched it lol. It was pure yellow, to yellow with a blue beak, to yellow with blue grey feathers and now it’s getting brown wing tips. Lol it’s an interesting mix that’s for sure.
