It's the same boy in both photos. The girls are starting to lay again, so I should have some shortly. I'll have to get the little cochin x cornish roo out of the pen before I start selling them just to make sure he's not contributing to the gene pool. I also need to check for fertility...I tried hatching out some back in December, but they were all infertile.

I have 2 girls that look something like the hen in your picture. They are only 5 months old and I expect their color to change some. I call them my blue and gold girls. Daddy was a dark buff cochin and mom was a very light blue cochin. Both girls are gold from the head half way back and the rest is a light blue or even maybe lavendar if that is possible. I think they are very pretty and was going to continue the breeding but Big Buff Daddy met an early end to his career.
I need one of those thingys to take pix with.

I wonder if she has some partridge cochin in her?

Maybe a blue partridge crossed with buff? Her coloring almost looks partridge, just replace the normal brown with her tan color and the black a partridge has with her blue.

Do you have a list of the possibilities?

I thought Partridge as well... I believe he was told (The owner of this hen) a Buff and a Blue but with the Partridge coloring on her neck I to figured there had to be some Partridge in the breeding... hummm
