Blue Wyandotte?

The wyandotte thread is under the breeds.genetics, and showing forum. Just go to search, put the word wyandotte, all forums and search topic only and it will pop up for you. I am sure they can help you. As for me, do you know how old it is? I have about 10 silver laced wyandotte pullets that went thru a faze where their combs got really red (about 6 to 8 weeks old or so) and I thought..What The Hay!!!! I paid extra for all pullets!!!! I am glad I did not just sell the lot because now, 8 months later, I have some really nice pullets getting ready to start laying if not already doing so. But please put the question to those experts on the Wyandotte thread.

BTW...Blue IS my favorite color!!!

Definitely don't assume it's a roo. When I posted pics of my SLW on here everyone agreed I had a bunch of roos. They all ended up being pullets. I've learned that Wyandottes can be tricky and you just have to wait.

Thanks to all the night owls for responding! It isn't an Easter Egger, unless it is one with a clean head. I was assuming boy because at 5 weeks or so he is really red.

The guy I got him from thought he was older than that. Could it possibly be a Bantam? He knew nothing about chickens.

Posted on the Wyandotte thread this morning and have gotten zero responses which I thought surprising. Not positive this is a Wyandotte, but seems to be a good guess. One surprise is a lot of people thinking it might be a pullet. Maybe I will call the feed store she came from and ask if they had this breed.

Thought this would be an easier route but guess people are somewhat stumped.

Looks just like my blue Wyandotte, Lucyfer! I have two blue Wyandottes, Lucyfer and Crystal. I think (though not positive) that Lucyfer is a roo and Crystal is a pullet. Lucyfer (front) and Crystal (back) age 5 1/2 (closer to 6) weeks old.

Another pic of Crystal (left) and Lucyfer (right)

We have some...it is a wyandotte and it is blue. As far as gender, it looks more like a girl than a boy at this stage. All you can do it wait a little longer and see how it grows.
