When I bought the first one, it was from a lady selling a bunch of assorted chicks. Some were supposed to be pure and some mixed. I now think maybe all were. My "silkie" doesn't have the extra toes or feathered feet. I have since gotten 2 pure silkies and there is a lot of difference in them. One, I still don't know what she is. I'll post her here too. Lady said barred rock/RIR cross. Then the other was supposed to be a cochin which I was super excited about. She is definitely not a cochin. I have since managed to get a 2nd one in the exact color. I think they might be blue wyandottes. As they have grown, the necks have stayed dark. They also have dark legs.

And here's my mystery cross girl. You can see her little tophat in this picture. I'll try and get some more pictures today

Caught the 2nd girl and gave her a good once over. She had an extra toe on each foot. One of them is more like the extra dew claw on a Pyranees. She also has one giant feather growing off one foot. I'll add the pictures tomorrow

That's what I was thinking as well. She did have other silkies for sale so it makes sense. This one isn't fluffy like my others though :(. My white silkie cross is the friendliest chicken I've ever been around. If only she'd stop pecking my toes lol

I'll have to catch the blue girl again and get a good look at her comb. I took more pictures today but you can't see her comb in them. Just 4 toes like all the others

First, some more pictures of my blue chicken. I can't see her earlobes though so I'll have to take a closer look tomorrow. I have a younger one just like her but my horse stepped on it's foot so I've got her in a makeshift pen in my garage. In the 2nd picture, you can see the red crested one in the back ground

And now the quick pictures I took tonight of the crested one. These 2 plus a golden comet and a white leghorn I raised from chicks like to roost on top of the coop instead of inside so I have to go down at night and put them away.
Sorry, don't know how to flip this one

And here's one of her foot. The extra toe is less pronounced on the other foot and that's also the foot with the feather
