Is it acceptable to breed these two together? Will it ruin the black offspring to becoming a not so pretty black? I dunno and was just wondering what people that have done this think. Or anybody? Something you have read?

What kind of black?

Blue/black/splash?

You want to breed the black to blue. Helps make for strong lacing and keeps the color from washing out.

I wouldn't dilute the pure black lines with blue influence if you are talking about a pure black with the beetle green sheen.

They will be nice blacks, but for the absolute best black, breed black to black. My blacks I get out of Suede and Velvet are very shiny and beautiful. Cant imagine them being even more shiny! Just ask KingsCalls or Buster, who both own black sons of Suede and the blue ladies.

The blacks we get from the bbs are really nice, I agree. They also appear to our eyes to be black as black can be. When you see a pure black, smutt black and shiney you will know the difference. It is stunning.

I was considering breeding pure black to blue lines.

1) how about if I got a pair of blacks to stay pure black and a pair to mix with the blues?

2) would pure blacks to blues mess up the blues?

3) I would like to see a smutt black (maybe not  )

What? Why? My black birds from black x blue matings are black with 'beetle green sheen'.
Why would you say that?
