Same old story, I bought these as pullets... and they're actin kinda rooish...... so here goes.. I have three chickens that are always fighting each other... neck feathers flaring, jumping in the air at each other... the whole shebang. One of them is definitely a roo, this is my handsome rooster, foghorn:

the other two are still questionable... so what do you think, roo or hen???

Suspect #1 is a buff orpington

Suspect #2 is an SLW:

How old are they? The SLW looks like my Georgie, who is 11-12 weeks old now. Pretty sure Georgie is a boy. His hackles, saddle feathers and tail feathers are not rooster-like yet, but his comb and wattles are bigger and redder than his sisters, and there is a bit of irridescence to his black feathers.

I am no expert, but the BO looks like a boy compared to my 15 week old BO pullets. The comb on yours is much bigger and the stance is... different. I don't know about the SLW, they are supposed to be hard to tell.

the SLW is defintitly a roo, i have a hen the same age and her comb/wattles are waaay smaller and paler and the coloring is different too, sorry. I'm not sure about the BO but it does seem to have quite large comb/wattles so it probably is a roo also. Good luck:/
