Where did that Dominique picture come from?

The photo is from Ideal Poultry's website, thus the reason I posted the link. The artist is Diane Jackey. She did many of the Standard of Perfection prints.

Okay, that makes sense.

Is that also the picture from the new SoP?

The way I understand it works is that if you run several males with the hens, the R/R males will be less likely to be the ones fertilizing the eggs compared to the R/r males, but if you are pen breeding one male to several hens (eliminating the competition from multiple breedings from different sires), it's not a problem.

The American Poultry Association OWNS their prints and retains exclusive rights to them. However, the artist has many photos of many breeds. All of Ideal's photos were done by Diane Jackey. There is a link to her site on Ideal's site. These prints are very similiar to those in the SOP. Though the SOP contains prints from several artist.

The Dominique prints in the SOP are two seperate prints by Diane Jackey. The one I posted from Ideal is a pair drawn together.

Ok folks....sorry I havent been here in a while. Been "job huntin" and raising chicks. Right now I have 20 little Col Rock chicks on the ground (ranging from 2 to 8 weeks old).

The trio I got from Canada is approx 1 yr old now (part were born March 2010, part April 2010....just dont remember which)

Here are a few pix of the 3 now that they have grown a bit.

Dorking Chicks hatched this weekend!

I have 22 total.
7 RIR w/out 5 toes,
6 Dorkings with 5 toes,
8 BSL (black sex links) with 5 toes,
and one odd white/Ivory with faint stripes with 5 toes!

My dorking roosters were bred with Black Sex Link hens, and next incubation project should produce red traits from the RIR.

Your birds look very nice ! Grown & filling out!! Very nice!!

Circumstances did not allow me to join Jen on her road trip. I did speak with her. She now has no room for anyone else. She stopped by TSC and purchased some supplies. The rear is full of carry coops and the front is full of supplies. She should be about there by now.

Can't wait to visit her and see all those Barred Hollands!
