I have 140 bobwhite quail not sure how many males or females i have,but i got them at 3 days old there 12 weeks now, there in one big outdoor barn with part of it sectioned off for them and the other side for about a 100 pigeons , my goal is to incubate the quail eggs hatch them and turn the group of 140 loose supplying them with food and water once there loose on my 16 acres and just keep the cycle going, I may also put in a one way cone so they can return to barn area if they need or want to, anyway anyone else done anything like this

Check with your local game warden or DNR agent first. I do not know of any states that allow the release of game birds without a special permit. It does not matter that it is your own land.

That’s exactly true. Here you need a permit just to use them loose for dog training.
