Bobcat.... Maybe?

Plan is to lock every one up tonight and set traps. We also are buying another trail cam today. Our current one is on deer duty
If you have likely location Bobcat with walk through, have camera set back a good ten feet. Otherwise I have troubles where I see only tip of tail and a foot when predator walks directly across field of view. Timer delay between detection of movement and photograph too long.

Cats do make it a habit to burry their leftovers for another day. I strongly suspect that the turkey was killed in another location and then brought to where you found it. After decades of peace between the bobcats and myself I have relocated 2 of them in the last 4 years. One to my son in law's wall and the other to a friend's mantle.

Don't sell the bobcat short, he or she is a fearsome predator.

Another friend of mine was a state game warden. Despite spending his whole carrier rubbing shoulders with wildlife he once told me that he only had about 5 minutes of bobcat viewing. I don't think that they are that rare but I do think that they are very warry and secretive. BTW, bobcats are a 24-7 predator.

My husband saw a bobcat while deer hunting a few days ago. When the rabbit population gets out of hand, they (bobcats) tend to show up. Let's just say we have rabbits for days.

I know the turkey was grabbed closer to the coop. We followed the feather trail. That's when we saw the stashed turkey.
