Eliki panted as he raced, his paws protesting.

Cinder took note of this while they darted around a bush. He wasn't getting any younger either, but he wasn't letting a human kill the elder. "Eliki, head to the denser bushes. I'm going to distract them." he called before turning away.

Eliki nodded and altered his course.

He stopped and hunted a bird he continued.

Eliki stopped dead in the thick brush. The loud noise still hang in his ears. He crawled onto a fallen log and peered over the brush. His gaze scanned the land in search of Cinder. His eye wavered on a red brown body about a 100 yards away from a tall creature.

Cinder groaned in pain. He couldn't see his assailant and was utterly confused. He tried standing up but collapse once he put pressure on his right hind leg. He inhaled and tried agian, keeping off his injured leg. Hopping/walking he tried to make it away.
