Is it possible that "Bob" is an escapee from a neighbor? I wouldn't go out of my way to feed him. He is obviously healthy and happy being a chicken.

I don't know of anyone directly around me that raises them. I tried to look online and there seems to be a few farms that sell them but they are about 7 miles away. He has been here for a solid week now and doesn't seem to have any intention of leaving. The only extra food I supply (besides the chicken feed) is shelled sunflower seeds. He loves them. Even as I type this I hear him doing his Bobwhite call. Do you think there is any chance in the world I could buy a female from someone and they would be friends? Or she would just leave? I don't need eggs or to breed them or anything, I just feel bad that he's calls all day and doesn't have a buddy his size.Is it possible that "Bob" is an escapee from a neighbor?
