I have bobwhite eggs that will be going in to lockdown in a few day humidity has been between 40 to 50, wondering what I should boost it for lock down! Any advice will be appericate! First time hatching! Very nervous! Also wondering about how to make the best brooder possible! Thank guys!

First good luck!

Have you been candling to make sure the eggs are alive/have been developing ok?

What do you have on hand to use for a brooder?

Large cardboard boxes work well.
Do you have their cage built and ready to go?

Yes I have been candling! Doing great can see them move and everything i have a storage container that I bought was going to use that!

Ok great.
I would not up the humidity too much. Maybe up to 60 and only once they start pipping.

How many eggs do you have set and can you measure the container?

Okay perfect! I only have 2 hatching out of the 5 I put in the incubator, I have a storage box 15 and a half inches tall and 20 inches long and I have also have a 17 inchs tall and 29 inches long storage box

Oh ok great...with only 2 quail that container should be fine for now.
Did the other 3 eggs quit on you?

The small container would be fine?! And the other 3 never developed dont think they were fertile!
It should be fine for a week or so, yes.

What are you using as a heat source though?
I worry that a lamp may not be a good combo with the plastic, do you have a heating pad?
