bobwhites losing feathers

i have 40 northern bobwhites almost 4 weeks old in a gqf brooder, i noticed this evening about half of them have lost feathers on their backs. is this normal or is something i should be concerned about? thanks for your help.

X2 Bobwhites at this age need at least 1 to 2 square feet per bird or they will kill each other.

And 4 square foot per bird when they are adults.
