One of our black hens developed a couple marble sized growths on her comb a couple weeks ago and one smaller one on her wattle. They since developed scabs. I felt sure it must be fowl pox. She has been isolated from the flock but regressed to the point that she can't even stand. I've been syringe feeding her water. She seems to be doing better, her growths have started to shrink and she has started eating. She still can't stand. We gave her a bath today to remove crusty poop on her feathers. When doing so we found a huge scabby growth on her neck/shoulder. I had no idea it was there. It's about the size of half a golf ball or so. Is this still potentially fowl pox or something else. What do we do, lance it, antibiotics???
