One of my hens (17 weeks) has been doing this REALLY loudly over the past week. She will stand in the run and do it over and over again. It's quite loud. None of the others have done it yet. Does this mean anything? Is she annoyed? Practicing laying an egg? Something wrong? Or will they all do this all day long once they mature?

A lot of times the loud calling is warning sounds, maybe she saw something that worried her, snake, hawk, just a thought.

Sometimes they just do it cuz they feel like it. Annoying.

My Sassy is our talker. I'll think I hear the egg song, but nope. It's just Sassy talking. She has me running to the backyard about 10 times a morning! Guess it's good exercise
